Kate G - KPA CTP

Animal Behaviorist

Kate has experience rehabilitating both fearful and aggressive animals. She utilizes positive reinforcement and clicker training techniques to focus on fostering positive relationships between pets and their guardians.

Kate graduated summa cum laude from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2013 with a double major in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and Psychology. She was thrilled to complete her honors thesis in conjunction with the Humane Society of Boulder Valley behavior modification program. Kate spent nearly a year completing behavior and training internships with exotic animals at the Toledo Zoo and Denver Downtown Aquarium. She worked with harbor seals, grey seals, polar bears, grey wolves, Sumatran tigers, and North American river otters.

Kate returned to working with shelter animals in 2014, deciding to dedicate her life to furthering the human-animal connection. She graduated with distinction from Karen Pryor Academy that same year, becoming a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP).
